THE INSTITUTE

Free education.
Skills for a developed India.

Architectural concept for SSIT: a cream-colored institute building with blue glass, a central columned entrance, and landscaped grounds.

Shri Sharda Institute of Technology (SSIT) is being built in Gogamedi, Rajasthan, to offer quality post-secondary school education to Rajasthan's youth at no cost.

Young teenagers face a gap in access to a local post-secondary educational institute offering free education. SSIT addresses this issue, creating a place where they can continue their education and develop technology skills without moving too far away from home.

SSIT's theory of change is to provide Rajasthani students with access to the whole suite of technology tools needed to become competitive in any industry. By quickly adopting artificial intelligence, for example, our students can develop their own sense of entrepreneurship and innovation - studying everything about their ideal line of work, building relationships, and going out to join existing firms or form their own enterprises.

SSIT will be founded in support of the Government of India's Viksit Bharat @2047 goal to make India into a $30 trillion economy by 2047. SSIT's establishment addresses the Yuva (Youth) pillar, specifically supporting the Digital India initiative which seeks to expand internet access, promote digital literacy, and enhance e-governance.

Our educational vision draws inspiration from NITI Aayog's Reimagining Skilling for Viksit Bharat@2047: connecting learning to practical skills, employability, entrepreneurship, and lifelong development.
